Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and President Droupadi Murmu paid floral tributes at Prerna Sthal in New Delhi, commemorating the enduring contributions of one of India’s greatest champions of social justice and equality. The ceremony signaled the launch of year-long events leading up to the 200th birth anniversary of Phule, spanning from 1827 to 2027.

Jyotirao Phule, along with his wife Savitribai Phule, played a pioneering role in transforming Indian society through education and reform.
