“Maha Jungle Raj in Bengal”: Suvendu Adhikari Launches Sharp Attack on Mamata Banerjee…

Date:

Kolkata, West Bengal, India

As political tensions continue to escalate ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, Leader of Opposition and BJP candidate from Bhabanipur and Nandigram constituencies Suvendu Adhikari delivered a scathing critique of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her government of fostering instability and weakening institutions.

Speaking in Kolkata, Adhikari alleged that the state leadership is directly responsible for law and order issues. “West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is the one who instigates the riots,” he claimed, making one of his strongest attacks yet against the ruling administration.

He further accused the Chief Minister of targeting central agencies and institutions. “She attacks the teams of ED, CBI, income tax, judiciary, political leaders,” Adhikari said, suggesting that there is a pattern of confrontation with constitutional bodies and opposition figures.

Taking his criticism further, Adhikari alleged the existence of what he described as a “tukde tukde gang”, intensifying the political rhetoric and framing the issue as one of national concern.

Highlighting the overall situation in the state, he painted a grim picture of governance. “There is maha jungle raj in the state,” he stated, alleging a breakdown of law and order under the current regime.

The remarks come amid a highly charged political environment in West Bengal, where both the ruling All India Trinamool Congress and the opposition BJP are engaged in sharp exchanges over governance, security, and institutional functioning.

While BJP leaders have repeatedly raised concerns about law and order and administrative neutrality, the ruling party has consistently rejected such allegations, accusing the opposition of attempting to create a negative narrative for electoral gain.

Adhikari’s comments reflect the intensifying war of words in West Bengal politics, with leaders sharpening their attacks as the election battle reaches a critical phase.
