BJP leader and former MP Rahul Sinha has strongly reacted to the murder of Chandranath, personal assistant to senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, alleging that the incident may be connected to the current political tensions in the state following the Assembly elections.
Speaking in Kolkata, Sinha made sharp remarks against the Trinamool Congress (TMC), claiming that the party has been unable to accept the electoral outcome. He reiterated his earlier demand that the TMC’s political recognition should be revoked, accusing the party of encouraging a culture of violence and intimidation in West Bengal politics.
Referring to the recent election results, Sinha stated that the BJP’s victory marked a major political shift in the state. According to him, the TMC’s defeat has intensified frustration within the party leadership and supporters, leading to a tense atmosphere across several districts.
