Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone, inaugurated, and dedicated to the nation a wide range of development projects worth more than Rs. 20,000 crore in Vav Tharad, Gujarat. The projects span multiple sectors and reflect a strong push toward infrastructure growth, improved public services, and regional development.

The initiatives cover key areas such as power, railways, road transport, health, urban development, tribal welfare, and rural development. Together, they aim to strengthen connectivity, improve quality of life, and create new opportunities for people across the region.

Among the major highlights was the inauguration of the Ahmedabad Dholera Expressway, a significant infrastructure project expected to enhance connectivity and reduce travel time between important economic zones. The expressway is likely to support industrial growth and improve access for businesses and commuters alike.

In the railway sector, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Himmatnagar to Khedbrahma gauge conversion project, further strengthening rail connectivity in the region. The upgraded line is expected to improve passenger movement and support more efficient transportation of goods.

Healthcare also received a major boost with the inauguration of key urban health projects in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. These facilities are aimed at improving access to medical services and strengthening healthcare infrastructure in growing urban centers.

Tourism projects were also launched as part of the development package. These include a Light and Sound Show at Rani Ki Vav and a Water Screen Projection Show at Sharmishtha Lake. These initiatives are designed to enhance visitor experience, promote cultural heritage, and attract more tourists to the state.

In addition, two major water pipeline projects were inaugurated, including the Kasara Dantiwada Pipeline in Banaskantha and the Dindrol Mukteshwar Pipeline across Patan and Banaskantha. These projects are expected to improve water supply and support both rural and urban communities by ensuring better access to essential resources.

The large scale of these initiatives reflects a coordinated approach to development, where multiple sectors are strengthened together to create lasting impact. Improved roads, better rail connectivity, enhanced healthcare, and reliable water supply all contribute to overall progress and stability in the region.

The event highlighted the importance of integrated development, where infrastructure and public services go hand in hand. Projects of this scale are expected to generate employment, support local economies, and improve everyday life for people living in both cities and rural areas.

With projects worth over Rs. 20,000 crore now underway or completed, Vav Tharad and surrounding regions are set to witness significant transformation. The focus remains on building strong infrastructure while ensuring that the benefits reach people at the grassroots level.

The occasion marked not just the launch of projects, but a broader vision of growth and development aimed at creating better opportunities and improving living standards across Gujarat.
