Date:

KOLKATA, WEST BENGAL — Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter to artist Subrata Gangopadhyay, appreciating his artistic vision and dedication to the field of art.

The development comes after West Bengal BJP President Samik Bhattacharya presented one of Gangopadhyay’s paintings to the Prime Minister during a public rally.

Speaking about the recognition, Gangopadhyay said that he had created three portraits a few months ago, which were later gifted to the Prime Minister. He expressed deep gratitude and happiness that his work was appreciated at such a high level.

The artist said that he had never imagined that he would get an opportunity to present his artwork to the Prime Minister, calling it a moment of great honour. He added that the appreciation he received has left him overwhelmed and unable to fully express his emotions.

The Prime Minister’s letter is seen as an encouragement to artists and creative professionals, highlighting the importance of art and culture in society.

Such gestures often help bring attention to regional artists and promote India’s rich artistic heritage on a larger platform.

The recognition has marked a proud moment for Subrata Gangopadhyay, reflecting how artistic talent continues to gain appreciation at the national level.
