Kangana Ranaut Highlights Women’s Safety, Governance Failures in West Bengal Ahead of Assembly Elections…

As the West Bengal Assembly elections approach, BJP Lok Sabha MP and actor Kangana Ranaut has intensified her campaign against the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), raising serious concerns about women’s safety, governance, and law enforcement in the state.

Speaking in Kolkata, Ranaut highlighted multiple issues affecting the state’s women and professionals. “The BJP is confident of forming the government here. Injustices against daughters of the state and the plight of doctors on night duty have shocked the nation. A woman Chief Minister has failed to ensure women’s safety,” she said, emphasizing that law and order in West Bengal has been a persistent concern.

Ranaut visited the Kalighat temple, offering prayers for the safety and welfare of Bengal’s daughters. “At the Kalighat temple, prayers were offered for Bengal’s daughters… As the Home Minister said, the law will firmly deal with criminals in West Bengal,” she noted, linking spiritual observances with the political promise of stronger governance and protection for women.

She criticized the state government for allegedly manipulating central welfare initiatives. “They are not letting the schemes that PM Modi started to be implemented here… They are changing the names of the schemes and using their own name for them,” she said, suggesting that these measures undermine both transparency and the intended benefits for citizens.

Ranaut also addressed concerns regarding the electoral process, particularly the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists in West Bengal. She defended the exercise, stating, “Lakhs of names have been removed, which shows how governments were being formed in the past. This is a transparent and open process. SIR has been conducted in the past as well, during the previous government’s tenure. There’s nothing new in it.”

She added, “If action is being taken against infiltrators, why does Mamata Banerjee feel the pain? The people of Bengal see this clearly, which is why they have decided to bring a BJP government this time.”

Her remarks also extended to law enforcement and public safety, noting the perceived neglect of critical issues. “The daughters of Bengal are in pain… The BJP government should form here,” she said, urging voters to support a change in administration.

Kangana Ranaut’s statements reflect the BJP’s broader election campaign narrative in West Bengal, which focuses on governance failures, women’s safety, transparency, and effective law enforcement. As the electoral battle heats up, the party is seeking to position itself as a credible alternative to the incumbent TMC government, promising reforms and stricter oversight of public welfare initiatives.
