WEST BENGAL, INDIA — BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has expressed strong confidence in the party’s prospects in West Bengal, stating that the Bharatiya Janata Party is poised to form the next government in the state amid growing political momentum.
Addressing the media in Delhi, Chugh said that a clear wave of support is emerging in favour of the BJP across West Bengal, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction with the current administration. He indicated that the party’s campaign is gaining traction as voters increasingly seek an alternative to the existing leadership.
Launching a direct attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress, Chugh alleged that the state has witnessed persistent issues related to violence, injustice, and governance failures, which have deeply affected public confidence. Referring to the TMC’s long-standing slogan “Maa, Maati, Manush,” he argued that the ideals behind the slogan have not been upheld in practice. He also addressed the issue of illegal infiltration, stating that those who have entered the state unlawfully should leave before May 5, signalling that a future BJP government would take firm action on the matter. Chugh further accused the TMC leadership of engaging in appeasement politics and adopting an approach that undermines democratic accountability. He asserted that such governance has led to a loss of trust among the people, who are now looking for a system that ensures fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity.
