Mamta Banerjee Refuses to Resign from the Chief Minister Post, Alleges EC to Support BJP

Date:

Mamta Banerjee refused to resign from the chief minister post and declared that she was not defeated by the public but by the Election Commission. She alleged that the Election Commission worked for the BJP and acted against her and the TMC.

Mamta Targets Election Commission

Talking with the Journalists, she said, “I will not resign, I did not lose, I will not go to Raj Bhavan…The question doesn’t arise. Now, I also want to say that we didn’t lose the election. It is their attempt to defeat us. Officially, through the election commission, they can defeat us, but morally, we won the election. We didn’t fight the BJP, we fought the EC, which worked for the saffron party.”

Now, the election result picture is clear, and everyone is excited to know who will become the chief minister in the first BJP government in West Bengal. Multiple names are surrounding the political arena, but the final decision will be made only after the central parliamentary board meeting of the BJP in Delhi.

Central Observers

BJP has appointed Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the central observer and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi as the central co-observer to reach a consensus and to elect the leader of the legislative party in West Bengal. Amit Shah and Mohan Charan Majhi will meet and discuss the issue with the winning candidates and then inform the Central Parliamentary board.

Central Parliamentary Board

After their observation and findings, the central parliamentary board will make a decision on the chief minister post. As of now, workers and leaders are busy distributing sweets and enjoying their first win in West Bengal.
