Prime Minister Narendra Modi intensified the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign for the West Bengal Assembly elections by addressing multiple rallies across key regions, including Asansol, Haldia, and Birbhum.

The rallies, held across strategically important constituencies, are part of the BJP’s broader effort to consolidate voter support ahead of polling. Party leaders indicated that the Prime Minister’s speeches focused on development, governance, and the party’s vision for the state, while also targeting the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) over various issues.

In a post on social media following his rally in Asansol, Modi highlighted the public response to the BJP’s campaign. “A glimpse of enthusiasm in Asansol yesterday. It supports the development agenda of West Bengal BJP and will never support Trinamool!” he said, reflecting confidence in the party’s growing support base in the region.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to further boost the party’s campaign momentum with the release of the BJP’s election manifesto, titled the ‘Sankalp Patra’, in Kolkata. The manifesto is expected to outline the party’s key promises and policy priorities for the state, including development initiatives, welfare schemes, and governance reforms.

Following the manifesto launch, Shah is scheduled to address a public meeting in Debra and later participate in a roadshow in Kharagpur, both considered politically significant areas in the state’s electoral landscape.

The coordinated campaign efforts by top BJP leaders highlight the importance the party is placing on West Bengal, where it is aiming to expand its political footprint. The presence of both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister in back-to-back events underscores the intensity of the campaign as the election approaches.

Political observers note that such high-profile rallies and the release of the manifesto are key components of the BJP’s strategy to present a strong alternative to the incumbent government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

With multiple parties actively campaigning across the state, West Bengal continues to witness a high-voltage electoral battle, with issues ranging from governance and development to identity and welfare shaping the narrative.

The coming days are expected to see further intensification of campaign activities, as parties deploy top leadership and unveil policy agendas in a bid to sway voters ahead of polling.
